Give to the Max #PSoutdoors Toolkit

WHAT IS GIVE TO THE MAX DAY?
Give to the Max Day was created in 2009 to launch GiveMN.org, a collaborative venture led by the Minnesota Community Foundation and many other organizations committed to helping make our state a better place. That initial spark touched off a blast of online giving —$14 million in 24 hours. Since then, Give to the Max Day has become an annual tradition. Every year thousands of organizations and individuals generate donations and excitement for Minnesota causes that are working to improve the quality of life for all Minnesotans.

Give to the Max Day (GTMD, hashtag #GTMD23) is Thursday, November 16th, and this year there are two main ways to support us:

MAKE A GIFT: Early giving starts nowEach charitable gift made to Project Success during the early giving period could help us win daily $500 Early Giving Golden Tickets and other prizes from GiveMN. Plus, for every dollar donated, it will be matched up to $14,000!

Subject Line: “PSoutdoors Outdoors and into the World!”

Dear [FRIEND],

This school year, Project Success (PS) is introducing hundreds of students to diverse opportunities near and far through college tours, nature settings, and international cities. A large part of that programing is the outdoor trips for middle schoolers: trips to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) and a trip to the Apostle Islands, experiences that over 230 students took part in this year!

PS is seeking to deepen our impact on the student experience in the outdoors by creating more opportunities for students and families to engage with our natural environment. On our summer Outdoor Adventure trips, students can navigate and connect with nature, build comradery with their peers, and nurture self-confidence in their abilities.

Thanks to donors like you, Project Success continues to make these wilderness adventures accessible to all middle school students: no students are turned away due to cost. To reach this goal, PS is participating in Give to the Max Day, which is a day for generous Minnesotans to give back what they can to the causes and organizations that mean the most to them.

As a supporter of Project Success, I give back because [REASON]. I hope you’ll join me in helping students connect to their purpose with a gift for Give to the Max Day.

Early giving is already open at https://www.givemn.org/organization/projectsuccess.

Thank you,

Make an affiliated peer-to-peer page!

An affiliate page is a peer-to-peer fundraising page created by an individual (you!) in support of a non-profit organization (Project Success). You’ll add a short narrative on your connection to Project Success, set your own fundraising goal, and share within your network. Project Success will provide you with copy to include on your page as well as photos.

This guide is meant to support you in setting up your personal page. We are happy to lend additional assistance to help get your page up and running, including phone calls, zoom or an in-person meeting.
