Theater Experiences

Theater experiences create a springboard for discussion, inviting risk-taking and possibility. They are made possible thanks to the generosity of our 50+ Twin Cities theater partners, who donate tickets and help us coordinate trips to the theater for students, families, and teachers. Our team coordinates with volunteer theater drivers and childcare workers to help make evening and weekend theater experiences accessible to families.

Project Success offers three types of theater experiences:

  • Field Trips – Coordinated with our schools, students attend live, professional performances during the school day.
  • Artist Residences – Students participate in facilitated in-class artist residencies with a variety of our theater partners to help make seeing a show or engaging with a play even more impactful.
  • Evening & Weekend Theater – PS students and their families receive free access to professional performances after school and on weekends.

REGISTER FOR THEATER!

Project Success students can request up to 4 free tickets to each evening or weekend performance of their choosing, so they can attend alongside family and friends. MPS teachers and staff can request up to 2 free tickets. Free transportation to shows is available as needed and provided by our volunteer drivers. Additionally, free childcare services will be at the majority of shows as requested. Just let us know during your registration or call us to make the arrangement at (612) 874-7710.

See below for upcoming shows! Some shows are only for middle school, some are only for high school, and some are open to both.

NOTE: Check our FAQ page for more details about going to theater shows!
