Project Success MPS Teacher and Staff Appreciation Nights 

Our Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) Staff & Teacher Appreciation Nights are an annual tradition each August to show our gratitude towards our partner teachers and school staff for all that they do. This year, we were excited to offer two special evenings – the first being a trip to the Guthrie Theater to see Into the Woods or Shane, the second being an evening out at the Minnesota Twins baseball game. 

During the event at the Guthrie Theater on August 6, participants created and captured memories at the PS photo-booth and enjoyed a dessert reception prior to seeing a show. Theater experiences create a springboard for discussion – inviting risk-taking and possibility. Project Success continues to offer students, families, and teachers access to live theater throughout the year at no cost to them, thanks to our theater partnerships with more than 50 Twin Cities Theaters. The Guthrie Theater is our founding theater partner and we are excited for another great school year of field trips, residencies, and evening and weekend shows with them and with all our partners. 

During the Minnesota Twins baseball game on August 25, participants enjoyed a reception with our Facilitators at Minnie and Paul’s Balcony Deck at Target Field, overlooking center field. The evening also featured baseball bingo with prizes and food vouchers for stadium goodies. Thank you to the Minnesota Twins for their ongoing support of Project Success! This past spring we welcomed more than 1,000 students and their families to a Twins Game at our annual Fielding Dreams event. Our partnership continues to help support all our programming with students. 

With these celebrations, we pay tribute to our partner teachers and MPS staff for their tireless work on behalf of students and families. We appreciate their partnership for our in-class workshops and field trips, and their encouragement for students to participate in our arts, expeditions, and certificates programming. This is just one way we show our support and gratitude for all they do. 

We are thankful for our nearly 30-year partnership with the Minneapolis Public School District. The support, dedication, and care provided by our MPS teachers and staff allow our programs to run smoothly, enabling us to focus on connecting students to their purpose.
