Give to the Max #PSGrow Toolkit

Give to the Max Day was created in 2009 to launch, a collaborative venture led by Minnesota Community Foundation and many other organizations committed to helping make our state a better place. That initial spark touched off a blast of online giving —$14 million in 24 hours. Since then, Give to the Max Day has become an annual tradition. Every year thousands of organizations and individuals generate donations and excitement for Minnesota causes that are working to improve the quality of life for all Minnesotans.

Give to the Max Day (GTMD, hashtag #GTMD22 & #PSGrow) is Thursday, November 17th, and this year there are two main ways to support us:

MAKE A GIFT:Early giving starts nowEach charitable gift made to Project Success during the early giving period could help us win daily $500 Early Giving Golden Tickets and other prizes from GiveMN. Plus, for every dollar donated, it will be matched up to $10,700!

You can also spread the word about your support for Project Success in two simple ways that take between one and fifteen minutes!

Subject Line: “PSgrow – Space and Community to Learn and Plan”

Dear [FRIEND],

This school year, Project Success (PS) is helping more than 500 MPS students prepare for life after high school through our Project Success Institute certificate program There, students learn career & life skills in a welcoming, supportive, high-quality space with professional educators and field experts. Within each 10-week certificate programCooking, Coding, Bike Technology, and Personal Financestudents dedicate time outside of school hours to build skills that will allow them to refine their goals, build self-assurance and discover new opportunities.

PS is seeking to increase their certificate options for students, including adding multiple levels in courses such as Coding and Bike Tech, and expand offerings to include subjects such as entrepreneurship, media arts, cybersecurity, and real estate through community partnerships.

To reach this goal, PS is participating in Give to the Max Day, which is a day for generous Minnesotans to give back what they can to the causes and organizations that mean the most to them.

As a supporter of Project Success, I give back because [REASON]. I hope you’ll join me in helping students connect to their purpose with a gift for Give to the Max Day.

Early giving is already open at

Thank you,

Make an affiliated peer-to-peer page!

An affiliate page is a peer-to-peer fundraising page created by an individual (you!) in support of a non-profit organization (Project Success). You’ll add a short narrative on your connection to Project Success, set your own fundraising goal, and share within your network. Project Success will provide you with copy to include on your page as well as photos.

This guide is meant to support you in setting up your personal page. We are happy to lend additional assistance to help get your page up and running, including phone calls, zoom or an in-person meeting.
