Project Success and MPR Select Teacher as First Travel Scholar

January 15, 2014

Roosevelt English teacher Molly Sheahan-Spector was selected from a competitive pool of Twin Cities educators to join Minnesota Public Radio on-air host, Kerri Miller as a Travel Scholar on the F. Scott’s Paris with Kerri Miller trip to Paris, France. Project Success and MPR partnered to design this unique opportunity to give a current 6-12 grade Project Success partner teacher the chance to experience F. Scott Fitzgerald’s writing legacy on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure and bring the experience to life for students and the trip participants. As the Travel Scholar, Sheahan-Spector will enrich the experience for fellow travelers on the trip, providing historical and literary context and creating engaging activities focusing on Fitzgerald’s writing legacy. When she returns, she will incorporate the subject matter back into her school’s classroom and community, integrating her own experiences into the curriculum.  Click here for the press release.
