PS Dinner Theater: The Most Happy Fella

A waitress finds a love note from a mysterious customer and begins a letter-writing romance with a man who calls her “Rosabella.” Little does she know the object of her growing love is Tony, an aging immigrant wine grower. Fearing his “Rosabella” will reject him, Tony sends her a photograph of his handsome foreman instead.

As her visit approaches, the stage is set for confusion, hurt, and betrayal before finally blooming into love and understanding. This return to a beautiful story marks the revival of TTT’s second-ever musical.

Parking Options:

• There is limited free parking available in the Project Success lot behind the building.
• There is free street parking available in the neighborhood south of the office. Please look for permit required parking signs.
• Metered street parking is available on Groveland Terrace.
• The Walker has a paid underground parking ramp available off Vineland Place.

Contains mature themes including manipulation, infidelity and threats of violence. This performance is recommended for ages 13 and older.

Themes

Tony is told by someone he trusts that he is too old and unattractive to marry the person he likes. In response he decides to be dishonest about how he looks. Nowadays we call it “catfishing.” This leads to hurt feelings and consequential choices that affect everyone involved. What is a different choice Tony could make in this situation, if he is worried about rejection?
