Little orphan Annie is given the chance of a lifetime when she’s invited to spend Christmas at the mansion of billionaire Oliver Warbucks in 1930s New York. With boundless optimism and charm, Annie captures the hearts of everyone she meets—thwarting Miss Hannigan’s crooked plans along the way and discovering the true meaning of family. Themes

Annie and her fellow orphans experience mistreatment at the hands of the director of the orphanage, Miss Hannigan. In the face of this unfortunate situation, the children try to support each other as well as they can. How might this part of the story reflect the real world in 2025? 

Annie maintains optimism that her birth parents will return to find her one day. Her belief is challenged by others, but it keeps her going on hard days. Is there something that keeps you motivated, even if others disagree with you about it?
