In Shakespeare’s Othello, a Moorish general, Othello, is manipulated by his ensign, Iago, into believing his wife, Desdemona, is having an affair with his lieutenant, Cassio. The play explores the destructive power of jealousy and manipulation, highlighting the tragic consequences of unchecked suspicion.
