Project Success’ 19th Annual Fielding Dreams with the Minnesota Twins

May 11, 2023

On May 12th, Project Success partnered with the Minnesota Twins to commemorate the 19th year of our annual Fielding Dreams event. This event has evolved into a significant community partnership, with more than 120 companies supporting it over the years. We are deeply grateful for the overwhelming generosity we receive year after year from our donors, who have helped us raise more than $1 million dollars to date! These funds have helped Project Success to work with more than 200,000 students and their families to help students connect to their purpose.

We were grateful to partner with the following sponsors this year:

This year’s Fielding Dreams event was fun and meaningful for all involved, with nearly 1,300 students and their families joining us for the game thanks to the Minnesota Twins Baseball Club’s generous donation of tickets. To add to the excitement, Project Success musical students from Northeast Middle School gave a memorable performance on the field before the game and led the 7th-inning stretch.

Our sponsors were able to enjoy the game on the Budweiser Roof Deck and a variety of activities that included dinner, a photobooth, a meet and greet with Twins Hall of Famer Tony Olivia, a visit from TC Bear, Twins bingo, our famous Pitch and Catch game, and fun activities for kids.  Sponsors also participated in Chalk Talk – a special pre-game event where they received an exclusive behind-the-scenes perspective from Twins legend, Tim Laudner.  Tim Laudner played for the Minnesota Twins from 1981 to 1989 and was an instrumental piece of the Twins’ 1987 World Series success. He is now a baseball analyst at Fox Sports North. During Chalk Talk, Tim emphasized that the success of the 1987 Minnesota Twins World Series champion team was due to each person playing their part at the same time.

“Each year I attend the event I am reminded of the community of generous giving by local companies in furtherance of helping students achieve goals they might never have imagined without this funding and Project Success’ curriculum. This is truly hitting a home run!” – Charlie Montreuil, Fielding Dreams Event Chair, Best Buy Vice President, and Project Success Board Member
