Our Program 2015-16
Project SUCCESS motivates and inspires young people to dream about the future, helps them take steps to get there and gives them the tools they need to achieve their goals.
Every child entering middle school will graduate high school with a plan for their future and have the skills and confidence that will take them through the rest of their lives.
During the fiscal year 2015-16, Project SUCCESS served 11,600 Minneapolis Public Schools students from 6th through 12th grade, in 15 schools.
Through a seven-year ecosystem of in-class and out-of-class time curriculum and programming and seven years of developmental relationships with trained, caring youth development professionals, Project SUCCESS helps young people:
Develop the integrated identity needed to discover their motivations, engage their imaginations, and envision future possibilities in school, work and life.
Develop the agency needed to identify and access support that will help them focus on their futures and practice strategies that will promote their future planning.
Develop the competencies needed to take action towards and reflect on their future goals and apply values, successes and failures to their future decisions.
