Winter Trails Day

Science Fusion is open to all middle schoolers at Andersen, Anne Sullivan, Anwatin, Folwell, Franklin, Jefferson, Marcy, Northeast, Olson, and Sanford.

This annual tradition is a day of fun, FREE winter activities.

Partners from the National Park Service, REI, Minnesota DNR, U.S. Forest Service, and others will come together to provide a range of activities to help make the most of the season. Try cross-country skiing, ice-fishing, snowshoeing, ice sculpting, fat tire biking and more!

  • Minnesota State Parks require a vehicle permit: $7 for the day or $35 for the year. Pick up a permit at the office as you enter the park.
  • Wear warm clothes: coats, hats, scarves, mittens and boots!
  • Waivers: All participants need to sign a waiver when they get to the park. Anyone who is 17 years of age or younger who is attending without a parent/guardian will need to get a waiver in advance and bring the signed waiver to the event in order to participate. If your student is attending without a parent/guardian, let us know when you register and we can email/mail a waiver to you.
