PS Outdoor Club: Outside In
Enjoying the “outdoors” means many different things to different people. For some it could mean sports, family picnics, gardening, or taking a walk outside your front door. For others it could be “car camping” at state and national parks, back packing, paddling, rock climbing or adventure travel. This club is for everyone, whether you are just beginning to recognize your connection to nature, consider yourself a life-long nature lover or are somewhere in between!
Join Project Success as we share different perspectives and appreciation for the outdoors and the land we inhabit. We will explore the beauty of nature in our own backyards and then take you on a virtual journey to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, covering skills such as wildlife observation, map reading, trip planning, survival tips and more!
Outdoor Club is open to 6th-8th grade students and meets online Wednesdays at 4pm-5:30pm from February 3 – March 31, 2021.
Although the club meets online, we will give students fun challenges for them to explore the outdoors on their own or with their families throughout the week. Students will receive a kit of supplies for them to use during online club meetings and for their outdoor challenges!
