Boundary Waters Canoe Adventure 2021

Project Success has been bringing middle school students to the BWCA every year since 1998 and we have only had to cancel the trip once – this past summer, due to COVID.

Before the trip was cancelled, we had many students who had already been registered for the trip and were understandably very disappointed that they were not able to go. We had made a promise to those students that if we were safely able to offer the trip in 2021, that they would get the first chance to apply.

This year, we were thrilled we were able to keep that promise to those students. After thoughtful planning around COVID mitigation efforts with our partners at Wilderness Canoe Base, we were able to offer our BWCA Canoe Trips with limited groups in July. Due to new COVID precautions and capacity restrictions, we have a lot fewer spots available than we have had in the past. We therefore have invited those students whose trip was cancelled in 2020 to apply for those limited spots and the trips have since filled. The trips are currently full. If you are interested in the BWCA trip for next year, please let us know.

We wish we could take everyone who was interested. Next year, we look forward to offering the trip to more students from our PS middle schools!
