A Year in the Wilderness with Dave and Amy Freeman

Can you imagine living an entire year in the wild where “home” is surrounded by breathtaking forest, lakes and streams? Where your “neighbors” include loons, moose, wolves, fox, beaver, otters and so many more of nature’s creatures?

On September 23rd, 2015, Amy and Dave Freeman embarked on a yearlong adventure in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Their mission? To teach people about this beautiful wilderness area and advocate to protect this unique Minnesota gem. During 366 days in the Wilderness, they traveled more than 2,000 miles by canoe and dog team as they explored more than 500 lakes and streams throughout the year.

On March 24th, wilderness explorers, Amy & Dave Freeman,  shared with Project Success students and staff stories and photos from their exciting journey!

Many thanks to Amy and Dave for another wonderful presentation and to the students and staff for your curiosity and thoughtful questions!
