Global Connections: Kenya

Kenya – November and December

Travel with us across the world as we make our next stop in Kenya! Minneapolis is a sister city to Eldoret, Kenya. As part of the second installation in our Global Connections program, we will voyage to the Maasai Mara National Reserve to attend a live safari. From there, we will stop in on the Ol Pejeta Conservancy to learn more about the plight of the northern white rhinos. We will close out our visit by learning how to cook some delicious Kenyan dishes. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to the Global Experiences Associate, Anne, at or 612-876-3920.

Description: Back by popular demand, Project Success will be hosting another WildEarth Live Safari viewing party! We would love to see you all there as we embark on another live safari. This time, we will be focusing solely on South Africa since the safaris in Kenya have ended for the year. Thanks to WildEarth, a live wildlife broadcaster, you’ll enjoy observing and learning about various animals and ecosystems throughout the nation. We will come together via Zoom to tune in real-time, share in this viewing party together, and ask questions of the naturalists and guides. Sightings may include elephants, lions, and many additional interesting critters.

Please Note: This program features live coverage of a safari and may include animal kills, carcasses, scenes of mating, etc. Viewer discretion is advised.

Ol Pejeta Conservancy – Northern White Rhino Session

This session has passed. However, we are working on uploading the event video to this website. Check back in to learn more about Ol Pejeta Conservancy and the two northern white rhinos that live there. Driven to the brink of extinction, this organization is working hard to preserve the species and alter the current trend. Filmed with the northern white rhinos, students can learn more about these two rhinos.

Please note: This program covers sensitive topics including extinction, poaching, breeding, and the invitro fertilization efforts to save the northern white rhinos.
