Join us in the Spring of 2025 as TU Dance celebrates its 20th Anniversary and marks this significant milestone by featuring the works of prominent and renowned African American choreographers that have been supportive and connected to TU Dance since its inception.<\/span><\/div>\n

These works will include\u00a0Alvin Ailey\u2019s\u00a0<\/strong>Witnes<\/em><\/strong>s, Ronald K. Brown\u2019s\u00a0<\/strong>Four Corners<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(excerpt), Alonzo King\u2019s\u00a0<\/strong>MA<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(duet from\u00a0<\/strong>Who Dressed You Like A Foreigner?<\/em><\/strong>), Camille A. Brown\u2019s\u00a0<\/strong>New Second Line<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(excerpt) and the recently premiered work commissioned as part of the\u00a0Edges of Ailey<\/em>\u00a0exhibition at the Whitney Museum by Yusha-Marie Sorzano\u2019s\u00a0This World Anew<\/em>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

TU Dance is deeply honored to share works by makers that have contributed so richly to the American dance landscape through their multidimensional perspectives while voicing the shared human experience, which has been core to our own 20-year history.<\/p>\n

  • The dance New Second Line <\/em>celebrates community resilience in the wake of 2005’s Hurricane Katrina. How might the experiences and lessons of previous challenges and trials inform and motivate us as we face potential challenges to come?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
