Welcome to our new staff!

Project SUCCESS added a number of new members to our team this summer, in addition to welcoming some current staff into new roles. We look forward to broadening our reach and deepening our impact to serve more than 13,000 students in the 2017-18 school year with the help of this talented group!

We are pleased to introduce you to our new staff:

Alana McQuirter
Anwatin Middle School, Franklin Middle School and North High School
Alana joined Project SUCCESS as a Program Coordinator in 2016 and is excited to begin her new role as a facilitator this school year! Being introduced to improv through her high school, Alana discovered her love for the arts and her ability to lead. Choosing Hamline University for college, she was able to serve in various roles as a student leader where she completed her Bachelors of Arts in Education and Public Health in 2015. Charlotte Zelle
Program Operations Associate
Throughout her life, Charlotte has had several educational and professional opportunities in outdoor leadership roles, most significantly in her role facilitating adventure components at an empowerment wilderness program for 16-18 year olds with serious illnesses. She is thrilled to be a part of the Project SUCCESS team where she can continue to support and empower young people. Read more about Charlotte.


Daniela La Rocca
Program Coordinator
Daniela is originally from Miami, Florida and attended the University of Minnesota where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and Political Science. Prior to joining Project SUCCESS, Daniela was working as an Integrated Communication intern at the Minnesota Children's Museum where she published blogs and managed social media. She is fluent in Spanish and enjoys celebrating her Latin culture through food and music! Daniela is excited to join the Project SUCCESS team to learn from her peers and students while following her passion of empowering youth and giving back to her community. Read more about Daniela.


Elisabeth Caldwell
Program Coordinator
Elisabeth attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and obtained a degree in Economics with a minor in Psychology and Advertising. During her time at Eau Claire, she studied abroad for a semester in Perth, Australia. She also did many peer-to-peer focused jobs. After college, Elisabeth found herself drawn to youth development, and did a year of service as an AmeriCorps Promise Fellow. During this year, she worked with students on the Minnesota Youth Council. After her AmeriCorps service, Elisabeth found the position of Program Coordinator at Project SUCCESS and thought it would be a great place to continue serving young people! Hana Sato
Facilitator, Washburn and Southwest High Schools
Hana Sato is a 2015 graduate of Macalester College with a degree in Theater and Dance and a minor in Psychology. After graduating, Hana served two years through Americorps with College Possible MN as a Senior Coach at North Community High School and Park Center Senior High. These two years were incredibly formative, influential and inspired her to dedicate her life to youth in the Minneapolis community. As an alumna of Southwest High School and Project SUCCESS, Hana is thrilled to join the Facilitator team and combine her love of the arts, education, and youth into her work. Read more about Hana.


James Rone
Program Manager
James believes in the power of education and the arts to improve one's quality of life, and that everyone should equitable have access to both. This belief has led him to a varied professional career that includes teaching elementary school in Minneapolis; founding Harbor Theatre Group, a free theatre program for Twin Cities teenagers; and curriculum design and facilitation with Stillwater Area Schools Department of Equity and Integration, the East Metro Integration District (EMID), Bakken Museum, and CLIMB Theatre.Read more about James.
