On May 11, Adrienne Diercks was honored as a 2017 Woman of Distinction by the Girl Scouts River Valleys. More than 650 guests joined the Girl Scouts for a gala at the Minneapolis Convention Center celebrating the achievements of three Women of Distinction and two Young Women of Distinction.

Gayle Hayhurst, Board Vice-Chair of the Girl Scouts River Valleys, said of the award: “This year’s remarkable honorees are recognized as positive role models who not only lead with dignity, but inspire others and give back in the work they do. Their achievements and service are an example to girls in Minnesota and Wisconsin that any dream is possible.”

According to the Girl Scouts River Valleys website, each year the award honors local women leaders whose ethical leadership, professional accomplishments, and community contributions inspire us all to make the world a better place. They truly exemplify the Girl Scout spirit, making them positive role models who encourage girls to achieve their own goals and dreams.

“The missions of Project Success and the Girl Scouts align in our themes of perseverance, grit, and integrity,” Adrienne said. “I’m honored and humbled by this award, and to be included in the legacy of the Girl Scouts River Valleys and all of the previous Women of Distinction.”
