9th Graders Begin High School With Project Success

January 13, 2014

Research has shown that students’ experiences in their first year of high school often determine their success throughout high school and beyond. To help with this transition, Project Success worked with Patrick Henry and Edison High Schools in Minneapolis to kick-off the 2013-14 school year with day-long orientation experiences for their incoming 9th graders. These experiences were designed to answer student’s questions, connect with other students, get oriented to their school, learn to overcome obstacles and manage stress, and approach their transition with a healthy sense of exploration, adventure and discovery. Both days were a great success – challenging students to begin high school in really wonderful ways!
