Welcome Our New Facilitators: Chase Coley, Christopher Vang, and Roshni Desai

We’re excited to announce the promotion of three PS program coordinators, Chase Coley, Christopher Vang, and Roshni Desai, to the role of PS Facilitators. Two of them are alumni of the program – Chase graduated from Washburn High School and Christopher graduated from Patrick Henry. They both shared that becoming a facilitator was their dream since they were in their middle and high school classroom workshops with their own PS Facilitators. Roshni has worked at PS for a couple of years and shared that her ambition to evolve in her role at PS was based on her desire to be more “in [students and families] communities. And to be a part of their support networks … where I can listen to them, help them, and just be there for them.” Chase’s vision for her role as a facilitator mirrors Roshni’s — “I love the community in Minneapolis. Especially within Project Success. Because that’s the community that raised me. And now all I want to do is be able to give back to kids and spend time with them, and give them the sense of community that I was given as a child.” Chase experienced PS programming and the “kids first” values first hand with her facilitator Harleigh. On the topic of past facilitators, Christopher reminisced about his warm and encouraging PS experience as a student with his facilitators, Laura, Ryan, and Kurt. His goal is to give that same experience to his students, “sharing that open, warm environment with them is going to be really helpful letting them know that they’re welcome here [at Project Success] and that they’re okay with being whoever they want to be. And also helping to teach them the meanings of success.”
A strong sense of community, PS’ “kids first” mentality, and PS’ inspiring staff, programming, and students all fueled these three new facilitators’ desires to apply for the facilitator role. We welcome and celebrate this transition as they join a talented, dynamic team of PS facilitators. Congratulations!
