Project Success Launches New Strategic Plan and Framework for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (I.D.E.A.)

September 26, 2022

Project Success Staff and Board of Directors

During the final months of 2021, the entire Project Success staff and the entire board met to share ideas about the future vision of the organization, creating a plan that outlines our direction, goals and priorities over the next three and a half years. Led by an incredible team of facilitators from HueLife, a small group of board and staff combined these ideas into our new 2022-2025 Strategic Plan. Over the next 3 years, Project Success plans to focus on four areas that will help us strengthen our sustainability and impact, through:

  • Expanding our Program Reach
  • Developing Our Strong Team and Culture
  • Building a New Sustainable Financial Model
  • Continuously Evaluating for Program Evolution

Alongside this strategic planning process, a team of Project Success staff and board worked together on our I.D.E.A Framework (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility), with an emphasis on racial equity. Gathering input from stakeholders, the I.D.E.A. framework committee focused on combining what we have always believed at Project Success with our focus moving forward, including our commitments to the community and to our students, and our intentional areas of focus. We are setting goals within the following areas of focus, with a commitment to continuous improvement and evaluation of our efforts.

  • Policies – Project Success will consistently and continuously examine our policies, practices, and procedures to dismantle racially oppressive systems within our organization and move the organization towards a race equity culture
  • Partners – Project Success will partner with people and organizations who share our commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility, and particularly to anti-racism and advancing racial equity.
  • Programs – Project Success will create and develop culturally responsive, equitable programs and honor and value each student and their story, and that are responsive to ongoing student and family feedback.
  • People – Project Success will select, hire and retain staff, contractors and board members who share our values and are committed to practicing ongoing anti-racism work.
