Give to the Max Day is November 12

October 11, 2015

This year, Give to the Max Day (GTMD) is Thursday, November 12. The 24-hour give-a-thon encourages Minnesotans to rally around their favorite nonprofit organizations.

We are thrilled to be a part of such a generous and supportive community of giving here in Minnesota. Please bookmark the Project Success GiveMN page and remember us if you are participating on November 12! If you plan to talk about the organizations you’re supporting via your social media channels, use hashtag #GMTD15 and tag @Project Success on Facebook or @DreamstoAction on Twitter.

Donations made on Give to the Max Day will directly impact our programming and the students we serve. As a part of Give to the Max Day, you can make a one-time gift of $10 or more, or choose to make ongoing gift installments on a weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual basis. Each gift helps us to provide programming directly to students in our Twin Cities community.

Your gift of:

  • $1,000 funds a field trip to the theater for a class of students;
  • $400 provides a scholarship for one middle school student to attend the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) for one week with Project Success;
  • $350 funds a Chicago College Tour Scholarship for a high school student;
  • $175 funds a year of in-class programming for one student;
  • $50 funds an in-state college tour, or brings a family of four to the theater, and;
  • $25 funds materials for an in-class workshop with students.

Your donation on Give to the Max Day also may help us receive an additional donation of $1,000. How? On November 12, every gift made on GiveMN.org will be entered into an hourly drawing for a $1,000 GiveMN Golden Ticket to be awarded to a nonprofit organization. That adds up to 24 opportunities for you to help us receive an extra $1,000! Here’s the really exciting part: One donation made on GiveMN.org will be randomly selected at noon and at the end of Give to the Max Day to receive a $10,000 Super-Sized GiveMN Golden Ticket! The more gifts we generate on GiveMN.org on November 12, the more our chances increase to receive that additional $10,000 donation. Imagine what we could do with $10,000! Our goal is to raise $10,000 — which would help us reach 60 students — and you can help us reach it and possibly double it!

Give to the Max Day was created in 2009 to launch GiveMN, a collaborative venture led by Minnesota Community Foundation and many other organizations committed to helping make our state a better place. That initial spark touched off a blast of online giving — $14 million in 24 hours. Since then, Give to the Max Day has become an annual tradition. Every year thousands of organizations and individuals generate donations and excitement for Minnesota causes that are working to improve the quality of life for all Minnesotans.

Thank you for your support of Project Success’ mission to help our community’s young people dream, plan and succeed. We are hoping for another record-breaking day of giving in our state!
