Auditions for Student Performance Begin July 28

July 9, 2014

Are you interested in auditioning for a show that would be created and inspired by you and the rest of a student cast? Then come and audition for a brand new production open to all of our students in 7th-11th grade the week of July 28!

Project Success is producing a brand new show about the transition from middle school to high school and the struggles, growth and successes that go along with that transition. Students in 7th and 8th grades will contribute their feelings that go along with that upcoming transition.

For Auditions students will need:

  • a sample of their writing ready to perform for the directors.
  • a song they would like to sing. (If you do not bring a song you will sing “Twinkle, Twinkle.”)
  • to be ready to learn a short dance routine.

Do not worry if you do not feel comfortable in all of these areas! The purpose of this audition is for the directors to see you participate in all aspects that may be in the upcoming show.

Auditions are the week of July 28 and will be held at the Project Success office (see the Contact button above). The final cast size will be 10-12 students.

Rehearsals will begin the week of August 4 at the Project Success office (see the Contact button above) and will occur at least twice a week until school starts.  Once school begins, a new schedule will be determined.

Transportation will be available for students who need it for both auditions and rehearsals.

This show will tour in January and will be performed for all St. Paul Public Schools 9th graders.

If you are interested in auditioning for this student led show please email or call Samantha Way no later than July 15th to set up a time.
