Marcy Students Amaze in “Into the Woods”

March 31, 2014

In March 2014, more than 70 of Marcy School’s 6th, 7th and 8th grade actors and technicians wowed audiences with six breathtaking performances of the musical Into the Woods, a “cock-eyed” view of everyone’s favorite fairy tales, featuring characters from stories such as Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, and Jack and the Beanstalk.

Congratulations to the cast, crew, professional artists, and all the wonderful students, teachers, families and community members who supported this amazing performance. Rehearsals began in January and students worked with professional artists and Project Success facilitators every day for eight weeks.

The school musical is one of the key ways in which Project Success helps students build confidence, gain new experiences, strengthen relationships, and learn more about themselves and each other through the power of theater.
