Marcy Musical
From 2010 to 2020, Project Success worked hand-in-hand with Marcy Open School students to produce and perform their annual school musical.
High School Musical, the 2020 annual production presented by Project Success and Marcy Open middle schoolers, took the stage in March with a cast and crew of more than 80 sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students. Learn more about the production:
About the Marcy Musical
In partnership with Marcy Open School, Project Success produced yearly school musicals from 2010 until 2020. Productions included: Into the Woods, Little Shop of Horrors, Pippin, Annie, Shrek, Dear Edwina, and High School Musical.
Each year, up to 90 students worked in front of and behind the scenes. For eight weeks, students acted, danced, and sang with professional artists and worked with quality sound, sets, lighting, and costumes.
In rehearsal, students worked closely with local artist educators. This experience helped students build confidence, gain new experiences, and learn more about themselves and each other through the power of theater.
Every March, parents, teachers, students, district leaders and community members packed the house for performances. Afterwards, audiences left inspired, entertained, and impressed by the talents and efforts put forth by each performer and crew member.
