Tapestries 9.0 continues Threads Dance Project\u2019s tradition of highlighting new choreographic voices. This year\u2019s production features original works by Colin Edwards, Rachel Lieberman, and Hannah MacKenzie-Margulies. <\/span><\/p>\n

The program also includes Karen L. Charles\u2019 repertory work Let America Be America, inspired by the chant \u201cMake America Great Again\u201d and the idea that America has never been great for everyone. Through a series of spoken word and dance vignettes, the piece highlights the joys and struggles of \u201cthe America that is\u201d and \u201cthe America that could be.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Tapestries 9.0 reflects Threads Dance Project\u2019s commitment to showcasing different viewpoints and stories through movement.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
