SUMMARY:Middle School Movie Club: Edward Scissorhands
DESCRIPTION:Middle schoolers\, kick off Halloween with a free film\, movie-inspired costume contest\, and art-making. The screening of Edward Scissorhands begins at 1:00 pm\, and drop-in art-making runs from noon to 4:00 pm. A costume contest will follow the film screening in the cinema. Wear any movie-inspired costume to participate and for a chance to win a prize.   \nMiddle School Movie Club is designed for middle schoolers and their loved ones. Caregivers and family members also receive free admission and film tickets and are welcome to join activities or check out the galleries during the event.  \nAbout the Film \nEdward Scissorhands by Tim Burton \nWhen an eerie inventor dies suddenly\, his creation\, Edward\, is taken in by a kindly but insistent suburban mother. DESCRIPTION:Teens are invited to come hang out and make art inspired by the weird\, experimental\, poetic\, and inventive works featured in the exhibition Design Triennial: Beyond Materialism. This session will be planned and hosted by members of the 2026-2027 Walker Art Center Teen Arts Council. \nLooking to make art and hang with friends? Each month\, Teen Maker Break features a new art project and space to chill.  \nActivities are designed for teens aged 13 to 19. Free snacks and materials are provided and distributed on a first-come\, first-served basis; supplies are limited.
