This may either land him in jail or help chart the future for his family and all of Minneapolis.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBased on the lives of playwright Stan Kipper’s family\, experience this story of community\, family\, and the lengths some had to go through to achieve the American Dream.  \nHistory Theatre has created an in-depth play guide. SUMMARY:Dial M for Murder
DESCRIPTION:A new version of the celebrated murder mystery that inspired Hitchcock’s masterpiece! Tony is convinced that his wife Margot has been cheating on him. Now it seems that the affair is over\, but in his jealousy Tony spins a web of suspicion and deception that will tighten around them and ensnare them both in danger\, recrimination and murder. Adapted from Frederick Knott’s original\, made famous by Alfred Hitchcock’s film\, Jeffrey Hatcher’s taut adaptation keeps the twists coming until the very end. \nPerformance Venue\nYellow Tree Theatre \nContent Warnings/Age Recommendations\nContains mature themes such as murder. This performance is recommended for ages 11 and older. \n\n\nThemes\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn this mystery\, one character is a crime novelist. This character gives five reasons that people commit murder: money\, fear\, jealousy\, revenge and the desire to protect someone you love. In real life\, most people experience these emotions without acting violently in response. But those emotions can be compelling and powerful. What is a way that you prefer to process powerful emotions in your life?   \nTony is a theatrically heightened example of a person who pretends to love someone while acting differently behind their back. What other examples of this have you seen in the larger world?\n\nAccessibility\nMany performance venues offer accessibility accommodations such as wheelchair seating\, assistive listening\, sensory ear plugs\, ASL interpretation\, open captioning\, or audio description\, among other options. These accommodations are specific to each event\, and may not be available everywhere. When registering with us\, please let us know what accommodations you need and we will follow up with you! \nTransportation\nIf you do not have access to a ride\, call Project Success and we can provide transportation for you. SUMMARY:Helen
DESCRIPTION:Have you wondered who was telling the truth? Have you ever rushed to judgment or frozen in the face of fear? \n\nDirector Marcela Lorca and an all-star cast probe these questions in the beautiful and often humorous HELEN\, Lorca’s final show with TTT.  The virtuous Helen waits in Egypt for her husband to return from the Trojan War. Meanwhile\, her phantom double has appeared in Troy\, promoting a false narrative that Helen’s infidelity caused the war. As a perilous situation unfolds\, illusion and reality can seem interchangeable. Who is really in control of the truth?  \nRuntime of 90 minutes with no intermission.  \nPerformance Venue\nCamden High School \nContent Warnings/Age Recommendations\nContains mature themes\, including description of war. This performance is recommended for ages 11 and older\, with parent/guardian discretion. \nThemes\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis play brings a different perspective to the legend of Helen of Troy\, and challenges us to question how perspectives are influenced and shaped. What is a long-established story or perspective that you would like to re-examine?\n\nAccessibility\nMany performance venues offer accessibility accommodations such as wheelchair seating\, assistive listening\, sensory ear plugs\, ASL interpretation\, open captioning\, or audio description\, among other options. These accommodations are specific to each event\, and may not be available everywhere. Please let us know if you need a ride when you make your reservation. We will need at least 2 days’ notice to set up transportation. \nAdditional Media\nHere is the traditional story of how the Trojan War started\, and how Helen was viewed in connection with it:

SUMMARY:All the Devils Are Here: How Shakespeare Invented the Villain
DESCRIPTION:Note: The 10/23 performance is currently waitlist only. \nAn artful exploration of evil \nShakespeare’s greatest villains — Richard III\, Lady Macbeth\, Claudius and more — have captivated and tormented audiences for centuries. After decades of embodying the likes of Hades\, Scar and the Green Goblin\, acclaimed actor Patrick Page continues to be drawn to the layered motivations and complex psyches of these infamous evildoers. In this chilling and compelling solo show\, Page sheds the skin of one character as he jumps into the next while exploring how each villain is a window into the depths of the human heart. He concludes by prompting the audience with an even darker reflection: to confront and accept the trappings of evil inside us all.  \nThree things to know  \nAll the Devils Are Here became the second-highest rated show in New York City (after Hamilton) during its 2023 off-Broadway run\, which was extended multiple times due to popular demand.  \nPatrick Page has embodied numerous villains in his illustrious career\, including Hades in Hadestown\, the Green Goblin in Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark\, Scar in The Lion King\, the Grinch in Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! and more.  \nAfter every show\, Page has a conversation with the audience to unpack the play and discuss what they’ve learned\, almost as if the audience is his acting partner. \nPerformance Venue\nGuthrie Theater \n\n\nAll Performance Dates\nSunday\, 10/20\, 7pm\nWednesday\, 10/23\, 7:30pm\nSunday\, 10/27\, 7pm\n \nContent Warnings/Age Recommendations\nThis performance is recommended for ages 14 and older. \nThemes\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis show invites us to consider how stage villains can reflect aspects of ourselves. Is there a character you enjoy or identify with that is viewed as a villain? If so\, what is it about the character that connects with you? And do you agree that this character is in fact a villain? \nActor Patrick Page delves deeply into a series of characters all created by the same author. Who is another author (or creator in general) whose work you’d like to see explored like this?\n\nAccessibility\nMany performance venues offer accessibility accommodations such as wheelchair seating\, assistive listening\, sensory ear plugs\, ASL interpretation\, open captioning\, or audio description\, among other options. These accommodations are specific to each event\, and may not be available everywhere.
