SUMMARY:Blithe Spirit
DESCRIPTION:Please note: this performance is currently waitlist only. \nIn this sparkling supernatural comedy\, novelist Charles Condomine invites a medium to conduct a séance—but instead of inspiration\, he accidentally conjures his late (and mischievous) first wife\, Elvira. As Elvira wreaks ghostly havoc on Charles and his current marriage\, things go from strange to absolutely otherworldly. With razor-sharp wit\, eccentric characters\, and Coward’s signature charm\, Blithe Spirit is a delightfully witty reminder that the past has a way of lingering… especially when it’s not quite ready to leave. \nContent Warnings/Age Recommendations\nContains mature language (racist and sexist) and themes including references to death\, ghosts and threats of violence. Recommended for ages 13 and older with parent/guardian discretion. \nThemes\nThis show takes a darkly comedic look at the idea of our deceased loved ones impacting our current lives. What is your relationship with death/transition/loss\, from a cultural perspective? What are ways in which those we can no longer see in person can impact us moving forward? \nAccessibility\nMany performance venues offer accessibility accommodations such as wheelchair seating\, assistive listening\, sensory ear plugs\, ASL interpretation\, open captioning\, or audio description\, among other options. These accommodations are specific to each event\, and may not be available everywhere. When registering with us\, please let us know what accommodations you need and we will follow up with you! \nTransportation\nIf you do not have access to a ride\, call Project Success and we can provide transportation for you. Please let us know if you need a ride when you make your reservation. We will need at least 2 days’ notice to set up transportation.

SUMMARY:The Butler Did It
DESCRIPTION:Please note: this performance is currently waitlist only. \nA witty and suspenseful comedy thriller in the grand tradition of Dial M for Murder and Columbo. \nJeffrey Hatcher’s original mystery\, The Butler Did It\, takes audiences to a school for butlers that serves the fabulously rich\, where a perfect murder has just been committed. The butler did it… but which butler? How? Why? And will the culprit get away with it when an unassuming detective named Inspector Denise is on the case? \nContent Warnings/Age Recommendations\nContains mature themes including murder. This performance is recommended for ages 14 and older. \nThemes\n\nSome butler training includes adopting the mindset that you need to set your personal humanity aside while you’re at work. Some believe that personal emotions have no place in the workplace. Do you think this is true of other fields of work? If so\, what is one example that comes to mind?\n\n\nBeing a successful butler requires close attention to detail\, and sometimes it may be hard to understand why that level of detail is necessary. This is true for many jobs\, and maybe even in your work as a student. How might we motivate ourselves to maintain strict attention to detail\, especially in the moments that we don’t enjoy it?\n\nAccessibility\nMany performance venues offer accessibility accommodations such as wheelchair seating\, assistive listening\, sensory ear plugs\, ASL interpretation\, open captioning\, or audio description\, among other options. \nChildcare\nChildcare is available for this performance. Please let us know if you need childcare when you make your reservation. \nAdditional Media\nIt may not be common knowledge that there are schools that teach the skills to be a professional butler. Since this play is a murder mystery set in such a school\, you might like to know more about that environment in advance. Below are two options. The first video is pretty short and gives a general overview of the training that some receive. The second video is about a half hour\, but it is entertaining and informative. Whichever video you choose (if not both)\, try to imagine how a murder mystery could be written in this setting. Then at the show\, see how much of your vision is reflected in the show! \nShort video:  \n \nLong video:
