Ken has been in the Twin Cities community for the past two years, after growing up and working in North Dakota. Ken brings a variety of eight years of experience in development, project management, and strategic communications in both professional and volunteer settings. Studying mass communications, political science, and broadcasting public relations in the North Dakota University System, Ken has chosen to dedicate his life to the nonprofit sector as he himself is an alum of the Boys & Girls Club.

His specialized development work is geared towards individual and annual giving, institutional giving and partnerships, and event planning. Ken is an alumni of the 2020 cohort of IDEA Fellows for the Association of Fundraising Professionals in Minnesota, which is a fellowship exclusively for individuals who identify as people of color/indigenous people (POCI).

He currently serves as a board member and is on the development committee and Harvest Social event committee for the Mill City Farmer’s Market’s Charitable Fund, serves on the planning committee and awards selection committee for AFP’s National Philanthropy Day, and is involved in local politics. Outside of work you’ll find Ken in the kitchen or hosting an event/gathering with his boyfriend and their cat Sir Alexander III.
