Emma Purcell, a Chicago-native, graduated from St. Olaf College with a degree in Sociology/Anthropology and Race & Ethnic Studies. At St. Olaf Emma spent her time playing ultimate frisbee and organizing with the school’s climate justice group. This past year Emma worked at Washburn High School as a Check & Connect monitor and is excited to continue working in MPS! Emma believes strongly in the power of youth and views them as a central part of social change. Within their role as facilitator Emma hopes to empower young people to dream beyond what is in front of them. In their free time Emma loves to go for long walks and bike rides, spend time with friends, and play ultimate.
