April Foster
Facilitator
April is originally a Southern belle transplanted to Minneapolis in 2002. April has a Bachelor’s of Arts in English and is currently enrolled at the University of Minnesota’s Youth Development and Leadership graduate program.
For the last 7 years April has worked with youth in a variety of organizations: Urban 4H, Upward Bound TRIO and many after school programs. She has been in many different positions: co- leader, program coordinator, facilitator, tutor and a mentor. She enjoys being around youth, loves their energy and dance moves.
She is excited to sharpen her facilitation skills and go to the Boundary Waters!

The most influential person in your life/favorite teacher or mentor:
Sherry Davis my second grade teacher, she greeted us at the door, had tasks for us to do and she ignited the flame in me to be a good reader and to read books.
What you wanted to be when you grew up:
A flight attendant and a teacher
