Welcome to the Project SUCCESS Washington Technology Magnet page!
Greetings Washington,
We are so glad to be starting another year with such gifted and focused young people, and look forward to meeting all of you!
This year promises to be bigger and better, with more plays, more dreams and goals, more talk of our futures and special projects. Monthly workshops are a great time for enthusiastic exploration and evolution. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to cultivate so many relationships with students and staff and think this year will be better than the rest! If you have any questions, feel free to contact Ginny at ginnys@projectsuccess.org or 612-876-3915 or AsaleSol at asalesoly@projectsuccess.org or 612-874-3288.

About Washington Technology Magnet
Students at Washington Technology Magnet School use technology as a learning tool in all classes. The school has twelve computer labs and several mobile labs that give students access to state-of-the-art technology. All students take additional math and science as part of our BioSMART program. Challenging coursework in all areas leads to Advanced Placement courses and college credit. Washington is unique in that they have grades 7 through 11 in 2011-2012 expanding to grades 7 through 12 in 2012-2013. By being at Washington for six years, students get a chance to be more connected with the school and teachers get a chance to know students better. All students at Washington participate in their extended day program, a dynamic program providing over 50 choices in athletics, enrichment, and academic support. Washington students start college preparation in 7th grade with monthly workshops and annual college visits every year from grades 7 through 12.
Special Features:
- The Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) Program and challenge-level classes prepare students for course work in a high school International Baccalaureate (IB) Program, College in the Schools or Advanced Placement (AP), which are all rigorous pre-university programs
- Over 20 activities each quarter are offered through the WINGS after-school program in academics, athletics, and enrichment opportunities
- Throughout the building, students use SMARTBoard interactive whiteboards to access and present information.
