Hello Students, Staff, Parents, and Families of Washburn High School
We are thrilled to be back this year at Washburn High School. Last year at Washburn was amazing! Thank - You. We are looking forward to inspiring students to imagine the possibilities of their lives and then to take action towards making those possibilities a reality. We have some great workshops in store and many wonderful theater opportunities. We are offering tours of over 16 colleges and universities this year as well - please see Diane in the counseling office for applications. Find more details on our College Tours page. The 2011-2012 school year promises to reveal many more instances of accomplishment and exploration!
Harleigh is happy be back for her third year as a facilitator at Washburn. In every workshop, Washburn students demonstrate their unique, diverse talents and their creativity in looking forward to bright futures. This year Harleigh is with 10th, 11th, 12th graders and the SPAN program.

Naheeda is excited to be back in her fourth year at Washburn! She’s inspired and excited to be back after graduating the first Project SUCCESS Washburn class, the class of 2011. She loves Washburn; the classrooms, the sports games, the theater performances, the talent show and even the hallways of Wonderful Washburn High School! This year she’s working with 9th and 12th graders and the SPAN program. Please feel free to drop her a line if you have any questions, suggestions, comments or to just to say hello.
"9th Graders – I am so excited and honored to work with you and meet all of you! Its going to be a great year of thinking about who we are and what you would like out of your High School experience. A few things to look forward to; exploring our community, our expectations for ourselves, thinking about our dreams, and the legendary PS Jeopardy!
12th Graders – The Class of 2012!! So excited for your senior year, you all are so amazing and I can’t wait to see what you bring this year and your goals for after high school. I want to remind you that I am here for you and we can prepare for life after high school together! Please feel free to take advantage of one-on-one office time that we provide in the CCC, every Thursday afterschool, from October to April. We can work on anything from College Applications, Scholarship Help, Financial Aide Help, Resumes, Career Planning, Looking For and Exploring Jobs, Creating Steps to Accomplishing Goals, and even some extra time to Dream and Think About the Future. In workshops get ready for some art, distressing and theatre games!"
As always, we will continue our commitment to helping students further explore their goals and dreams.
Thank-you for letting us be a part of your extraordinary journey!
