We are so excited to be back for another fabulous year at Southwest High School! 

We love SOUTHWEST! We have been a part of the Southwest High community since 2000, and we are still as passionate as ever about inspiring students to imagine the possibilities of their lives, and then to take action towards making those possibilities a reality.

Naheeda is excited to be in her fifth year at Southwest, she’s working with the 12th graders and the Lifeskills and DHH programs. She is looking forward to a great year of workshops and to working with and being around her students... they’re amazing and inspiring!!!

Harleigh is back for her third year at Southwest, and excited to work with the fabulous 11th and 12th graders!

Ryan is thrilled to be back at Southwest for his second year, working with the fantastic 10th graders and getting to know the incredible 9th graders!

From Paper Airplanes to Legos to Value Auction to Yoga, we are committed to helping students take the ordinary and make it extraordinary. We are all excited about our students making this year an extraordinary one.

Project SUCCESS is proud to be serving Southwest High since 2000 at the request of the school. The program began with a focus on the 9th grade classrooms. Today, we serve grades 9-12. 

Project SUCCESS offers the following programming at South High for all students:

• in-class, goal-setting workshops;
• opportunities for each student and their family to attend at least eight free theater performances at 32 area theaters;
• weekly after-school one-on-one workshops;
• state and national college tours; and
• all school field trips to theater performances.

Southwest High School provides an exciting, nurturing learning environment for all students. They provide educational opportunities to enable their students to establish a foundation of strengths and talents that empower them to be their best and move forward to meet their dreams. They strive to instill excellence in academics, arts and athletics. 

The Southwest staff aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people. They challenge students to be active in their school and communities. They encourage students to learn how to learn and put their ideas and ideals into plans and programs. Their diverse educational community supports students to be competitive in a global market and responsible for maintaining a healthy and productive environment.
