Welcome to the Project SUCCESS Sanford Middle School page!

Hello students, staff and parents of Sanford Middle School.

My name is Pierangelo (Pier works as well) and I honored and incredibly excited to be the first Project SUCCESS facilitator at Sanford Middle School! I look forward to working with you and especially excited about helping you think about your dreams and goals for the future! Through a series of activities that we have planned for you, as well as some amazing theater experiences, we will have fun getting to know ourselves and each other in the classroom.

As for myself, I graduated from college in May, although for the last two years I have spent a lot of time working with middle school students. Now I am excited to spend more time in the classrooms and thrilled about the opportunities that we will have to go see some great LIVE theatre!

If you have any questions, or if you want just to say hi, feel free to contact me at Pierangelor@projectsuccess.org.

Our New Partnership

Project SUCCESS is thrilled to be serving the students, staff and parents of Sanford Middle School. This new partnership is part of an initiative to expand into 5 new Minneapolis Public High Schools and Middle Schools and 2 new St. Paul Middle Schools.

At Sanford Middle School, Project SUCCESS offers the following programming:

  • in-class, goal-setting workshops;
  • opportunities for each student and their family to attend between six and twelve free theater events at 29 area theaters; and
  • all-school fieldtrips.

About Sanford Middle School

Sanford Middle School is committed to welcoming all students and providing a challenging curriculum. Our goal is to prepare students for success in high school. This is done in a caring manner and within a climate of diversity, appreciation for differences and high expectations!

Sanford is a true middle school.

  • All students are on small teams of students and teachers that remain together for 3 years.
  • Escort students to class - no bells or noisy passing periods!
  • Caring personal relationships are fostered.
  • Our instructional day is 360 minutes - reading, language arts, social studies, science and math.
  • All students have a lifeskills class that rotates every 9 weeks. These include Physical Education, Art, We Win Institute, Spanish, Computer Technology and Band.
