Welcome to the Project SUCCESS Marcy Open School page!
Hello students, staff and parents of Marcy Open School.
My name is Pierangelo (Pier works as well) and I am honored and incredibly excited to be the first Project SUCCESS facilitator at Marcy Open School! I look forward to working with you and especially excited about helping you think about your dreams and goals for the future! Through a series of activities that we have planned for you, as well as some amazing theater experiences, we will have fun getting to know ourselves and each other in the classroom.
As for myself, I graduated from college in May, although for the last two years I have spent a lot of time working with middle school students. Now I am excited to spend more time in the classrooms and thrilled about the opportunities that we will have to go see some great LIVE theatre!
If you have any questions, or if you want just to say hi, feel free to contact me at Pierangelor@projectsuccess.org.
Our New Partnership
Project SUCCESS is thrilled to be serving the students, staff and parents of Marcy Open School. This new partnership is part of an initiative to expand into 5 new Minneapolis Public High Schools and Middle Schools and 2 new St. Paul Middle Schools.

opportunities for each student and their family to attend between six and twelve free theater events at 29 area theaters; and
-
all-school fieldtrips.
About Marcy Open School
Marcy Open School offers a learning climate where the student is the center, emphasizing academic achievement as well as personal development that promotes lifelong learning and individual goal setting. Learning takes place in multi-grade and looping classrooms where many activities occur at the same time, using an integrated curriculum in which students are taught to take responsibility for themselves and their learning.
Teachers function as guides and facilitators of learning. Marcy strongly promotes learning through the arts by involving students in arts activities with local artists through the Marcy Arts Partnership; and emphasizes a commitment to peace education through its membership as an International Peace Site. Parents are welcome in school as observers, helpers and classroom participants.
