Hello Humboldt Students and Families!
My name is Ginny and I am excited to bring Project SUCCESS into your classrooms this year!
And I am AsaleSol and thrilled to be back this year helping Humboldt students with their dreams and goals!
Since workshops are only once a month, we encourage you to check our Web site and read all the exciting things happening in the schools around the Twin Cities and to send us an e-mail with any questions you may have. E-mails just to say hello are more than welcome.
Also, be sure to check out all the great theater events we have planned for you this school year. Don’t forget the three frees - tickets, rides, and childcare! This is going to be another great year!
Here are just a few of the exciting things to come:
7th Grade - Goals
The activities and workshops designed for you this year center around goal-setting and the necessary steps you need to take to achieve those goals. This can be anything from passing all your classes this fall to becoming a professional athlete. The sky is the limit! Also, be on the lookout for fun ways of getting the most out of theatre experiences and what it really means to dream big for yourself.
8th Grade - Transitions
Activities and workshops in the 8th grade focus on making transitions and how you choose to handle and grow during those moments. We’ll talk about who you are now and who you hope to be in the future. We’ll talk about values and how those values guide you throughout your life. And we will definitely talk about high school and what it takes to have a successful high school career.
If you have any questions, or you just want to say hi, feel free to contact Ginny at ginnys@projectsuccess.org or 612-876-3915 or AsaleSol at asalesoly@projectsuccess.org or 612-874-3288.
Project SUCCESS is proud to be serving Humboldt Junior High School since 2002.
At Humboldt Junior High School, Project SUCCESS offers the following programming for all 7th and 8th grade students:
Humboldt Secondary School is an environmental studies and college and career preparatory school serving students in grades 7 -12. Their mission is to educate a global community to be active learners who are environmentally aware and college prepared. They provide in-depth professional development to provide their staff and students with the tools necessary to be successful with their focus. They are enhancing their relationship within the business community and neighborhood to best prepare their students for post-high school opportunities. They have extended their school day by one hour. In large part, these efforts will be achieved through increased communication and partnerships with the West Side Community and the larger city of St. Paul. In addition, they have expanded their staff trained in the non-fiction writing and Five Easy Steps for Math, data use and differentiation strategies
