Thanks in large part to Ameriprise, who sponsored the event by providing the theater tickets and a pizza lunch for the students, Project SUCCESS was able to bring all Afrocentric students to attend a performance of Almost to Freedom at the SteppingStone Theatre in celebration of Black History Month. The play, depicting the story of young girl and her family escaping slavery through the Underground Railroad, was a great performance followed by a unique post-play discussion with the cast. Thank you Ameriprise and Afrocentric students for making this a meaningful and memorable event!
