About the Anwatin Musical:
Working hand-in-hand with students at Anwatin Middle School, Project SUCCESS has produced yearly school musicals for the last thirteen years, including: Guys and Dolls, The Music Man, Annie, Bye Bye Birdie, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Here's Where I Stand, Seussical: The Musical, Little Shop of Horrors, The Wiz, Willy Wonka, High School Musical, and 2011's A Year With Frog and Toad. More than 100 students each year have worked in front of and behind the scenes, working directly with professional quality sound, sets, lighting and costumes, in addition to acting and singing. To enhance the learning experience, Project SUCCESS brings in professional directors and musicians. This one-on-one contact with local artists and students is a key way in which Project SUCCESS allows live theater to permeate school walls.
