The Position
Project SUCCESS is seeking a Development and Communications
Officer to assist the Director of Development and Communications in providing
leadership, strategic direction, management and coordination for Project
SUCCESS fundraising efforts. The Development and Communications Officer will
work hand-in-hand with the Director of Development and Communications to help
create fundraising strategies that increase the organization's support from
individuals, corporations, foundations, events, and other sources. The Development
and Communications Officer will play a key role in identifying, cultivating,
and securing local and national funding for general operating and program
support.
Required Qualifications and Skills
·
Working knowledge and a
minimum of three to five years practical development experience, including
grants, major gifts, events, annual funds and campaigns
·
A gift for writing in a
clear and compelling fashion
·
Ability to assist in the
development and implementation of creative marketing and communications
strategies including print materials, annual reports, newsletters, web site,
public relations efforts and brand management
·
An eagerness to work
collaboratively as part of a dynamic management team (Executive Director, Director of
Development and Communications, and Board of Directors)
·
Ability to work with Board and
Committee members to identify prospective donors and for involving the them in
donor cultivation and solicitation
·
A college degree or
equivalent life experience required
·
High energy, positive
attitude, enjoys challenging work
