Project SUCCESS Rocks Rockettes!

2,500 Students and Family Pack the Orpheum!

Radio City, MTA, Hennepin Theatre Trust make it possible!!

The line spills into the street as thousands flock for Rockettes tix!

On Thursday, December 29, Project SUCCESS filled the house for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring the World Famous Rockettes at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Minneapolis.  Radio City and the Hennepin Theatre Trust generously donated an entire performance of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, always one of the hottest holiday tickets in town, allowing nearly 2,500 students and family members to see this amazing show.  Project SUCCESS was able to invite all of our students, all the school staff at all our schools, and all their families to this event, and free transportation provided by Metro Transit ensured a safe trip to and from the theater for everyone who needed it!  Many many MANY thanks to all the people who made this event possible, including most especially ALL THE FANTASTIC PROJECT SUCCESS FAMILIES WHO ATTENDED!

Shining faces, happy people at the Rockettes!

Project SUCCESS Staff provide their legendary childcare (featuring CUTE BABIES!)

Project SUCCESS Teacher Night!

It's All for the Teachers at Guthrie's "Constant Wife"

The Guthrie Theater's The Constant Wife proved an excellent backdrop for the most successful Teacher Night in Project SUCCESS history!  Teachers from all 8 schools turned out to help us celebrate our wonderful partnership!  Many thanks to all who attended, and we're all looking forward to another fantastic year working together!

BWCA Just Crawling with Anwatinites!

Project SUCCESS took 56 awesome students from Anwatin Middle School to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area for the week of June 12-18.  We were happy to return to Wilderness Canoe Base for another year, ready to spend some time in the woods.  We enjoyed every night we slept on the ground, every day we spent trekking, and every meal we ate off a canoe paddle.  Eight groups went out on trail and eight groups plus one frog came back.  Darth Froggy remained at camp, though, leaving 56 Anwatin students and eight adults, sunburned and sore, to stagger back to civilization.  Be sure to check out all the details at our BWCA information page by clicking on the image above, and don't miss all the pictures on our BWCA photo page!

A Seussical Success!

On June 3-4, Anwatin Middle School students treated audiences to 4 wonderful performances of Seussical: The Musical!  The performances were the culmination of 8 weeks of rehearsal and work by over a hundred students at Anwatin.  The first performance was Friday morning for an audience of school students from Bryn Mawr Elementary, but the cast was looking forward even more to the second performance, that same afternoon, when their audience consisted entirely of their peers from Anwatin Middle School.  Both these shows, as well as the two public performances on Friday and Saturday nights, were complete successes, each performance more amazing than the one before.  To see images and read more details about this wonderful production, click the image above!
